About Me

Hi, my name is Milad and I am a Ph.D. candidate in Mechanical Engineering with minor in Computer Science at the UW Madison. I currently work as a research assistant at the Simulation-Based Engineering Laboratory [SBEL] under Professor Dan Negrut. I am working on a wide variety of projects but they all come down to three things!

  1. Computational (Fluid/Multi-body/Flexible-body) Dynamics: How to use computers to solve problems involving the motion of fluids and solids.
  2. High-performance computing: How to use latest hardware architectures like GPUs to speed-up the computational models.
  3. Machine learning and artificial intelligence: How to learn from available data to emulate what we should simulate otherwise.

If you are interested to know how these all come together, please see my research page at this link.
